Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

[wpurp-searchable-recipe]Pumpkin Pie Smoothie - I have no shame about my love of pumpkin but I have to admit, the way Americans obsess over their pumpkin pie and pumpkin spice recipes ESPECIALLY around Halloween made me curious to conjure up a smoothie for us all to enjoy - and I'm so glad I did! To be prepped for this recipe, you will need to have baked or boiled the pumpkin up beforehand. You can do this and then pop the servings into freezer bags to keep them ready to be used! - Greek Yoghurt (Low fat vanilla flavour), Honey, Pumpkin Puree (Kent Pumpkin. Boiled or baked till soft), Vanilla Protein Powder, Cinnamon (Ground), Nutmeg, Cloves (ground into dust), Add all contents to your blender and blend till thoroughly mixed. ; - [/wpurp-searchable-recipe]

Where’s Your Health At?

30 July, 2017

Such an obtuse question for an article title, hey? Though just to mess with you even more, say the title but also think of Basement Jaxx's song "Where's Your Head At" and suddenly you cannot escape it unless of course you don't know the song or you're too busy with the "Murder, She Wrote" theme song in your head - to both I ask - WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?

A question that we should all be asking ourselves is indeed - Where are we at with our own health and more accurately - are we looking after it?

Post Valentine Day Apocalypse

18 February, 2017

Another year, another Hallmark Valentine's Day. I like to think that you should show your significant other that you value and love them every day which ultimately makes Valentine's Day a pointless exercise. Save for buying cards, flowers and chocolates. Giving gifts is nice and all but often certain indulgences are what sabotage our health and fitness goals. Like I said - a pointless exercise.

Morning Tea Mania

Believe it or not, I wasn't always a PT - I used to work an office job. I actually really enjoyed it too. The company I worked for looked after us and were keen to ensure we were all happy little worker bees doing our jobs. One of the tactics used was having a Morning Tea where we all brought in a bread scroll, a $4 Coles Chocolate cake or if we were really lucky... someone would make cupcakes. If your life goal was to become obese and immediately diabetic - our office morning tea was the place to be.

Join a Gym they said — It will be fun they said

3 January, 2017

2017 is finally here.

Personally I am most glad that 2016 is done and dusted. The body count seemed high, the world is in turmoil and yeah - that cancer thing happened. So as you can imagine, I am keen to get on with things and that's the general vibe most people have for the new year. With new year resolutions still on the agenda, many people will have a desire to get fit and lose weight and be amazing for 2017 and hey - that is no bad thing at all.

12 Reasons why a Protein Shake is BETTER than Maccas Fries

18 November, 2016

One of my favourite clients mentioned to me via Facebook tonight about the mental struggle she had at resisting the temptation of eating McDonald's tonight. To be precise - the fries.

I worked for McDonald's in my youth and back in those days, their procedural approach and set work ethic was highly regarded. The quality of their food? - not so much.
