Making Your Ultimate Dressing!

Some of the biggest problems people have with salads is that they often think that they can taste boring and that they think Iceberg Lettuce is the core ingredient. Your salad will most likely be boring and not tasty if you use Iceberg Lettuce. It’s just water with structure. It’s boring.

By now you will have realised we are all about making sure your salads are colourful and varied but there still is that extra step to make them truly worthy of your taste buds! This is where your dressing comes in. There are LOTS of different sorts of dressings out there. Some aren’t too bad. Some aren’t too good either.

Back in my younger days I threw together some of the base ingredients and realised how yummy it tasted (and thus the Prada Chicken Salad was born!) and have added to it over the years. Evolved it you could say!

1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup of lemon juice
3 tbsp of honey
2 tbsp of low salt soy sauce
2 heaped tbsp wholegrain seeded mustard
1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1 tbsp hot english mustard
1 freshly chopped garlic clove

Now the reason I say construction kit is this – some of those ingredients I don’t like. Hot English Mustard is one and the lemon juice doesn’t agree with me much either. You can pick and choose from the above to mix it how you like! This is how I make the Epic Salad Dressing:

1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar
3 tbsp of honey
3 tbsp of low salt soy sauce
3 heaped tbsp wholegrain seeded mustard
1/2 tbsp sweet Chilli sauce
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 Heaped Tbsp of Minced Garlic

The great thing about the recipes found in the Epic Transformer Course is that you can do just that. Mix and match. In fact we encourage it. Don’t like Chilli? Don’t put it in! Are you making a non Metabolic Window meal and you want something rice like? Grated Cauliflower is a substitute. Don’t like Cauliflower? Add Broccoli! And don’t get me started on how I add Pumpkin to everything!
